Some of these are from the twenty list – they were so good I had to do them again.

Others, well, truth be told, doing some of those things on the list scare me, like not knowing if I’ll actually get them done. But I guess life is all about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, yes?

After all, twenty-one is bound to be pretty memorable with all these things to keep me busy (:

Twenty-one, you’re going to be good.

I thoroughly enjoyed putting this layout together; it reminded me of how much I love making paper things.

And I love everything about this layout – from the repeating stamped background with that yummy mint ink and new Amy Tangerine clear stamps (so much fun!) to the wood veneers (again, love these!), and all the memories wrapped up with all the food we ate in Pua <3

I hope your weekend is amazingggg!

Today.

Lessons learned

4 September 2012

Source: the-illumination.tumblr.com via Amelia on Pinterest

God taught me a lot this year. Some lessons I learned new, others I learned again.  And a lot of lessons, I’m still learning. Honestly, I learned more than twenty lessons, but if I had to put it down, here are twenty lessons I’m taking to twenty-one:

1. Life is complicated.

2. Laugh at yourself.

3. Forgiveness is never easy, always necessary.

4. Take whatever life throws at you and make the most of it.

5. Speak up for what you want/believe.

6. A lot of things depend on your perspective.

7. God is always good.

8. Talk less, listen more.

9. Don’t judge.

10. Make everyone a friend.

11. Don’t be afraid to dream – BIG.

12. Be patient.

13. Money is easy to spend, hard to earn.

14. Contentment is a decision.

15. Set realistic goals.

16. In everything, give thanks.

17. Don’t be afraid of new experiences.

18. Do what you love.

19. Enjoy each moment.

20. God’s timing is always perfect.

I’m excited for what God’s going to teach me at twenty-one.
Let’s do this!

Hello twenty and one. Hello college and homework. Hello running routines and a new twenty one list. Hello finding new routines and three months to Christmas!

Say hello to one of my favorite months of the year (:

Hello, September. You’re going to be jolly good, I reckon.

birthday wishlist

1 September 2012

Just for fun, I decided to put a birthday wish list together. After all, birthdays wouldn’t be complete without a list of presents you want but don’t need, yes? (:

wishlist

1. Instax mini 50S or mini 7 2. Kelly Purkey Rad clear stamps 3. Macbook Air 4. iPod touch 5. Zutter bind-it-all 6. Silhouette Cameo 7. Initial ring (or initial necklace from Basil the Cat)

But really, presents aside, birthdays spent remembering God’s goodness with people you love are good enough, really.

Ah, hello September.

This book came together one night when I had the urge to just make something. And it pretty much came together in a snap with some of my favorite supplies (:

I haven’t decided whether I’m going to add a title or not because I’m good with this the way it is. And this might end up being my “lessons learned” journal instead – taking notes on lessons learned, things God has taught me…

Loving it either way (:

Supplies: Studio Calico 5×5 classic journal, fabrip, butterfly mask; Mister Huey’s Pinstripe, Passport, Crate Paper patterned paper, washi tape; Uniball white pen

If you’ve been following this blog, you would’ve seen the pictures of the recipes I’ve tried in the last twelve months.

Not all of them have turned out like they should’ve. But I’ve loved the excitement of trying new recipes. And of course, I have to thank all those who *willingly* ate my food experiments, even the not so yummy ones.

This one’s definitely going on the list again (:

You can check out my 20 recipes here!

Books read in 12 months: 22

I didn’t read much at all in November and December. But I think the number of books I read altogether averages it out (:

I loved doing so much reading – good stuff.
