Nutella Cheesecake Pots by the Gluten Free Scallywag

If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you know that I absolutely LOVE Nutella.

I love Nutella so much that I’m always up for trying anything that involves Nutella.

Enter Nutella cheescake pots.

These pots are rich and creamy and super delicious. All the goodness of cream cheese and Nutella, mmm.

Even just typing this post makes me hungry for some.

I added more Nutella than the recipe required, since I like having a prominent Nutella flavor. And I also didn’t whiz the chocolate chips in the food processor because I bought the mini chips.

These make a great dessert for a dinner party (or any kind of part, really!), because you can put them into little glass pots or containers which are easy, delicious, and professional-looking.

This will definitely not be the last time I’m making these!

21 recipes // chocolate cheesecake cupcakes

4 July 2013

Determined to find the perfect Father’s Day cupcake recipe, I set out to find the recipe that would help me successfully bake something to my satisfaction for Father’s Day.

Chocolate Cheesecake Cupcakes by Very Best Baking with chocolate ganache

So I found this recipe and really liked the idea of these cupcakes – chocolate, with a surprise of cream cheese in the middle. But somehow, my baking skills failed to execute this one and the cream cheese filling didn’t manage to fill the middle of this cupcake. So I ended with chocolate cheesecake cupcakes all mixed together. It actually still tasted really good, just not quite how the recipe intended for it to be.

But if I didn’t tell anyone what it was supposed to be like, it was actually a pretty yummy cupcake. Make that a pretty and yummy cupcake, topped with this chocolate ganache frosting which I chose to whip. I love the richness of the chocolate and cream together. The original recipe actually came with just melted chocolate. But because it was for Father’s Day, I wanted to try something a little fancier that could be piped.

In my Father’s Day quest for the perfect cupcake recipe, this one didn’t quite make the cut because the whipped ganache had to be refrigerated (which I wouldn’t have during/after transportation), and I would end up with melted ganache with this humid Singapore weather that we have. But straight from the refrigerator, these are actually quite good.

21 recipes / first six.

20 December 2012

I’m so behind on blogging all the fun stuff I’ve been doing lately. But hopefully, I’ll get to it soon enough.

First up, here’s SIX new recipes for the 21 list. Last year, I tried 20 new recipes and loved it. So this year, I made 21 recipes a part of the 21 list again.

A couple months back, I made these sloppy joes – so easy and a total hit.

The creaminess of chocolate and peanut butter with a sprinkling of sea salt are pretty much the perfect combination in this cookie.

I was so worried that this cheesecake would just be a flop. But it turned out to be amazing in the end – so good.

P.S. Forgive the weird white borders around the photos; not sure what happened there!
