The other day, I was looking for a quick and easy dessert and found this recipe! I’ve never tried making my own frozen yogurt before so this was a first. The taste turned out pretty interesting – not too sweet, and slightly tart from the yogurt. I didn’t exactly love the inevitable raw taste of the yogurt. And somehow, I felt more guilty eating cookie dough than eating chocolate chip cookies. I’m not sure if I’ll make this again. But hey, if you never try you never know.

The fact that I love paper + parcels really isn’t a secret. And as Julie Andrew sings in The Sound of Music, brown paper packages tied up with string are definitely some of my favorite things.

But when you get both at the same time? It’s like Christmas come early.

So I was super excited when I found out that I’d won not one, not two, but FOUR of the newest tag collections from the Chic Tags giveaway on Stephanie Howell’s blog.

But I was blown away when I actually got my parcel on Tuesday – an envelope fully stuffed with packet after packet of paper goodies. Too much goodness in one envelope. Seriously.

I’m really excited to use these and work them into my scrapbooks. Anything to get back to this whole scrapbooking thing that I’ve been missing out on big time.

Friday favorite no. 003 // kinder happy hippo

This week’s favorite is Kinder Bueno. And to be sure, it’s not just any biscuit; it’s all the creamy hazelnut goodness that is kinder bueno, shaped in an almost-too-cute-to-be-eaten hippo.

Ever since childhood, Kinder Bueno has been a favorite. So this Kinder Happy Hippo kinda takes the cake. Or biscuit.

Too good + too cute. ‘Nuff said.

Summer break’s been great – relaxing, taking time off school, not being stressed out, and doing things I’ve been wanting to do. But it’s also challenged me to think about how I’ve been using my time and spending each day. And that’s important because we all get one, and only one, chance to live each moment.

Adelia Makes no. 002 // peanut butter fudge treats

I think I got a little behind putting these posts up; but today, I’m back with another installment of the Adelia Makes series!

Peanut Butter Fudge Treats

Armed with this recipe from Joy the Baker, Adelia made these for us. With a layer of rice krispies, a layer of caramel fudge, and another layer of chocolate, it was a treat for sure! The three made the perfect combination of textures and taste.

For her, this recipe was pretty easy, with just a few different portions to complete. While a little dense, it was not bad at all and everyone enjoyed it altogether.

Gotta love when you get to have rice krispies, caramel fudge and chocolate all in one bite!

The thing about Mondays

Sometimes, Mondays come and trip you up just a little. Things take longer than usual to get started, productivity isn’t quite as high, and you get thrown some unexpected curve balls that need to be sorted out. While I wouldn’t call it a case of Monday blues, today just happens to be one of those days where everything doesn’t quite seem to fall into place like how you planned for it to.

Nonetheless, I’m making the most of it and looking forward to the rest of this week getting better.

This month is pretty much going to be full of relaxing and doing fun things before I start summer school. It’s pretty crazy thinking about how we’re already halfway through this year. But I daresay, it’s been a blast so far.

I may be a little late jumping onto the instant photo bandwagon. But I finally decided to spend my birthday money on this Fujifilm Instax 25. AND I LOVE IT.

Not being sure of what you’re going to get and watching the film develop before your very eyes right after you take the photo is part of the thrill + novelty of having an instant camera.

I already love the little collection of instant photos that I’ve since amassed and I can’t wait to see how it grows!
