Stop and remember

…despite frustrations, disappointments, discouragements, bad days, stressing out.

This week, I’m thankful for friends, family, Romans 8:28, homemade gnocchi, lessons learned, Jeremiah 29:11, laughing, Lamentations 3:23, garden festival-ing, how good God is, pretty paper, Proverbs 19:21, Isaiah 55:8-9, God’s sovereignty, people who believe in me, sleep, running, who God is.

What are you thankful for this week? (:

Have a smashing weekend! <3

Amen.

God certainly knows how to keep me trusting in Him.
But Lord, help me to trust You 100%, because of, in spite of.

Welcome to the busy life.

(True that.)

Life’s been busy and I apologize for the lack of posts this week.

While this week hasn’t been as productive as I would’ve liked for it to be, I try not to let the lack of ticks on my to-do list bug me too much. Hard work and busyness are good things, for sure (:

So I guess you could say it’s all good, really.

I hope your week was super and that your weekend is even better!

Pleased that I (finally) went running after two weeks.

Drooling over new arrivals at my local scrapbook store.

Telling myself that I really don’t need any more scrapbook supplies than I already have.

Reminding myself of the pact to SAVE MONEY.

Enjoying driving lessons.

Choosing to make God more than enough and to remember His goodness every day.

Needing to fully utilize every single waking moment.

Looking forward to the weekend! (:

Start counting down to the weekend! (:

Prioritize.

I feel like I need 29 hours in a day. Like I have too much stuff to do. Like I need more time to do more things.

And so, as priorities go, I’m going to have to re-order where this blog is on the list (read: fewer blog posts than there already are).

Even scrapbooking and making stuff has had to move down on the list 🙁
But that’s just the way things are, just the way life goes.

The next few months are going to be busybusybusy.

Here’s to greater productivity and accomplishment!

Dream.

Totally.

Being in Pua (even for those short few days) gave me courage to dream again.
Albeit with a few reality checks, just so.

But, ahh, now it’s time to go out and make those dreams happen.

Time to sprinkle the glitter and fairy dust! (:

Word of wisdom

Oh, so true.

Time to stop building and start tearing down those walls.

All done.

I think the reality of being done with SATs hasn’t quite sunk in yet.

The math section didn’t turn out to be as hard as I expected, whether that is a good or bad thing, I have yet to decide. But some of the other sections left me pretty worried.

Anyhow! Now that the SATs are finally out of the way, I can heave a sigh of relief, put the books away, trust the results to God and relax for the next couple of weeks (:

Right now, I have post exam plans to:

  • catch up on Project Life!
  • practice for cello exam
  • make new layouts
  • read
  • go running
  • catch up on blog reading (:

Ahhh, I’m totally loving the post-exam, pressure-free days, wooots.

Keep it tuned here! I’ll be posting updates over the next few days of stuff that’s been happening around here while I was on my blog break.

It’s good to be backkk!

P.S. Happy (belated) National Scrapbooking Day!
(It was yesterday, May 5, fyi.)

I think this week is going to pass by quicker and sooner than I realize.

I want new nail polish colors.

I am super stressed out by studying for SATs and everything I need to do in between.

I wish I weren’t so busy.  But I tell myself that busy is good.

I need to up the style factor with more new shoes and clothes.

I shouldn’t be thinking about shopping.

I miss my friend Paye.

I am wondering about Dear Lizzy and Amy Tangerine clear stamps which I wish were in stock.

I feel like I get to have a break from training this week before reminding myself that I have a 10K run this weekend. Training’s not over – yet. Sigh.

I have more stuff happening this week than I thought I did.

I put on weight 🙁

I (probably) need a hair cut soon.

I have more time to study for SATs than I thought I did. Such revelations are always good things.

Project Life: Taking the Plunge

12 April 2012

Four months into 2012, I have finally decided to start Project Life. If you’ve read this post, you’ll know that I’ve been tossing this idea around in my head for awhile now. I thought of waiting until next year to start. But this post really grabbed me and made me realize that if I didn’t start Project Life this year, I’d look back at the end of 2012 and wish I had. And life is too short for regrets. Starting now is better late than never. I might go back and catch up on the weeks past. But I don’t know yet; we’ll see how I well I get used to this first.

But I’m not going to make this complicated, or stressful, or frustrating. I’m not going to worry about how things are supposed to be, not worry about trying to keep track of every little thing. I’m going to make this work for me as is much possible right now, to work within my means, even if it means not having cool software, printables, or inserts and whatnots, which would always be nice to have. I’m going to take what I have and roll with it. I’m going to keep this simple. I’m going to make the most of what I’ve got, make this fun, make this inspiring, make this something I’m going to enjoy looking back on.

This isn’t just about me jumping on the bandwagon. It’s about motivating and inspiring me to take more photos again, to actually print pictures, to capture the everyday, to remember the stories, to just document life as it is.

There are tons of inspiration out there – I’m really looking forward to all the cool ideas and stuff.

And in the meantime, while I wait for supplies to arrive, I’ll start recording and recollecting all the stories so I’ll be ready to write them down when I need to.

I think this journey is going to be a good one (:
