the 22 list

16 September 2013

So I finally got around to putting my 22 list together!

This year, I decided to break down the DIYs into individual items instead of stressing myself out having 22 new recipes AND DIYs. And as usual, some of these are repeats from the past year(s) but they were so good that I decided to keep them there.

  1. Try 22 new recipes.
  2. Read at least one book a month.
  3. Run a half-marathon.
  4. Write a business plan/start a business.
  5. Document life.
  6. Make a recipe folder.
  7. Make at least six creative projects.
  8. Bind a book.
  9. Establish a routine.
  10. Learn to take better pictures.
  11. Learn how to use Photoshop/Photoshop Elements OR HTML/CSS (or both).
  12. Take an online/craft class.
  13. Make a project using cork.
  14. Sew something.
  15. Make jewelry.
  16. Stay on the Dean’s list.
  17. Paint something.
  18. Make something with canvas.
  19. Make a DIY with bobby pins.
  20. Use a sharpie for a DIY.
  21. Write/send five pieces of snail mail.
  22. Carve a stamp.

It’s kinda hard to believe that my birthday was already more than a week ago. But the list is always a fun part of my year so I’m definitely excited to get started on this list!

Stay tuned for updates.

21 projects // DIY printable post-its

4 September 2013

Untitled There’s just something about post-its that make me really happy. They are one of those stationery supplies that I could have endless amounts of. So these neon post-it notes + a cute and easy printable = happiness all around.

Not only were they cute, but also super simple to do. (And you probably know by now, how much I love things that are quick and easy.)

Just download the printable from Living Locurto, lay your post-its on the page, and run it through the printer again. And WA-LAH! You have customized printables for school homework. Although, I think these would work just fine for plenty of other things besides homework. Untitled One thing I neglected to do was to check the size of my post-its against the printable template. It turned out that my post-its were actually a little larger than the template. So the guidelines themselves ended up being printed on my post-it. But the lines were pretty faint and I got to add some cute phrases with my Dear Lizzy phrase stamp, so it’s all good.

I think I’ll take Tater Tots and Jello’s tips for making my own template next time though. I love the idea of getting to add whatever text or graphic you want for some unique sticky notes for whatever you need!

13 down, 8 to go.
