Almost here.

23 November 2011

I can’t believe how time flies.

Thanksgiving is tomorrow.
And Christmas will be here even before I realize it.

That said, I’m quite looking forward to all the excitement! (:

Adding to that, check out Elizabeth Kartchner’s very cool giveaway here!
Anddddd, all the very inspiring Christmas-y ideas on pinterest! Whoever said that pinterest wasn’t addictive couldn’t have been more right, haha. (You can also follow me on pinterest here.)

I’m looking forward to what this time of the year has in store!

Project 52

18 November 2011

Sometimes, the hardest part about scrapbooking is actually finding the time to do it.

So a couple of years back, in 2009, I embarked on a project to complete 52 projects in a year – one for every day of the week. It didn’t matter if I strictly did one layout a week, or if I made a couple within the week and added them to the number. And it was okay if I missed a week because I could always “catch up” at a later date. But regardless of what I did, whether a layout, mini album, or altered project, they had to be something to add to my stash of creative projects. I found that this was an amazing way to motivate myself to take some time out each week, amidst my busy schedule, to scrap. By setting aside 15 to 30 minutes a day to plan, design, and put a project together, I was able to complete a project by the end of the week. So I’ve been keeping that up this year, and it’s been going really well.

We’re currently into week 46, and I’m up to 50 projects!

IN THE MOMENT: Dear Lizzy Challenge

11 November 2011

I DID IT!

Waiting along the sidewalk

The moment happened before I realized it.

And my picture turned out to be far from perfect, or anything like how I envisioned it would be.

That said, I think it’s a-okay that it didn’t.
After all, life is full of imperfect, but beautiful moments, isn’t it? (:

Cool challenge, anyhow. Thanks, Lizzy!

xoxo.

It only happens once in a lifetime.

Go out and do something fun, crazy, amazingly memorable (:

Beginnings

10 November 2011

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Because big dreams start with small steps.
This is the beginning of what I hope will be the fulfillment of a big dream.
