Excited that this weekend kick-starts all the Lunar New Year celebrations.

Not looking forward to what comes after these next few days but it’s all good.

Feeling guilty that I didn’t go running at all this week because it rained every single day I’d planned to go.

Eating way too many Chinese New Year goodies, but promising myself that I will go running this coming week.

Reminding myself to cherish and enjoy all the moments of the next few days.

Loving being 100% Chinese + all our (family) traditions.

Planning new things for this space (stay tuned!).

Thankful for how good God is – in all things.

Enjoy your long weekend!
Have a happy Chinese New Year, full of God’s goodness and blessings (:

Busy is good.

The pile of work seems to be especially high lately, which I suppose, explains for the lack of posts on this space. Although, it’s a strange kinda funny how all the big assignments are always due at the same time, during the same week. But rest assured, I have plenty of things to share, albeit slightly delayed.

Once the workload slows down a bit, I will be back! In the meantime, I’m (trying) to focus on the important things and making each day productive.

See you in a bit (:

Thankful that it’s Friday.

Looking forward to the weekend.

Relieved that assignments are done. For now.

Needing to plan blog posts for this space.

Wishing I had more hours in a day.

Praying for strong and healthy bodies.

Having too many ideas floating around in my head.

Needing to write stuff down/make lists.

Hardly believing that January is almost over.

Remembering that He makes everything beautiful in His time.

Live every day with intention.

I hope your weekend is amazing!
xx.

2012: in retrospect

31 December 2012

So here we are, standing again at the end of yet another year, and at the start of a brand new one. It seems like I always come to the end of each year and wonder where time went, and how insanely quickly it flew by.

But what can I say? Twenty twelve pretty much blew me away.

This year, I…

  • traveled around Asia
  • visited Malacca, Tioman, Bangkok/Pua, Manila
  • went diving for the first time and got my license
  • turned twenty-one!
  • made new friends all over the world <3
  • attempted to do Project Life and Project 52 and failed miserably (and that’s okay!)
  • started university
  • completed (most of) the 20 list
  • celebrated this blog turning one!
  • tried balut and silkworms (for the experience)
  • took my cello exam and passed with distinction (majorly thankful!)
  • learned to trust God, His perfect plans and time, and His sovereignty
  • got straight bangs
  • baked a cupcake tower for a wedding
  • bought a spankin’ new laptop
  • learned how to drive
  • learned how to sew
  • led a Bible study group
  • started running, and ran 5K, 9K, and 10Ks
  • watched the Olympics
  • jumped onto the Instagram bandwagon
  • gained new perspectives on life
  • learned + re-learned lessons
  • was reminded of how blessed I am + how good God is to me
  • felt truly free
  • saw God answer prayer in ways I never imagined
  • went on a Journey of a lifetime that pretty much changed my life

2012 was pretty amazing, if you ask me; I daresay, this might’ve been the best year yet. God is so good.

Each new year always seems to bring with it a new level of questions and uncertainties. And while only God knows what’s in store for 2013, judging by what He did this year, I can already tell next year will be pretty swell. I’m completely excited for what He will do this coming year!

Wishing you a very merry + blessed 2013 to you and yours.
xo.

This crazy busy life.

Life’s been busy, as evidenced by the lack of posts on this space.

But I’ve been learning to subtract things – like limiting how much time I spend on social media and updating this blog and stuff. It isn’t a matter of not wanting to; it’s only that I’m learning to make things add up where it really counts. I especially liked what this post had to say about simplifying when life gets too busy.

Still, busy is good and I’m not complaining one bit!

When life slows down a bit, I’ll get pictures up of paper things I’ve made lately. (Because I’ve really been meaning to.)
Check back soon!

Hello September

Hello twenty and one. Hello college and homework. Hello running routines and a new twenty one list. Hello finding new routines and three months to Christmas!

Say hello to one of my favorite months of the year (:

Hello, September. You’re going to be jolly good, I reckon.
xo.

Almost there

7 August 2012

Only two more days to practice. My nose is doing weird things. I can’t wait for this exam to be over.

I think I’m (probably) letting all this stress get to my head.

Oh, self.

All this stress + hard work is going to pay off.

Everything’s going to be all fine.
Just you wait and see.

Never give up.

26 July 2012

This morning, I woke up with the sudden realization that it’s already Thursday.
I guess it’s one of those weeks that passes by way too quickly.

And with one day and two weeks to my cello exam, I’m reminding myself of this:

After all, if you think you can’t do it, the battle is already half lost.

I need all the prayers/motivation/practice I can get.
I can do this.

I need this today.

It’s going to be all good.

So far, so good.

This week has really been looking up, especially since I couldn’t wait for last week to be over.

Good things from this week: productive driving lessons and cello classes, hanging out with friends, talking/catching up over donuts, laughing and being silly, doing nothing together, being encouraged, depending on Him and praying for strength, believing that I can do this.

All this in between telling myself to trust and not to stress out over what’s ahead.

Ah, it’s all good, really.
I’m quite looking forward to the weekend (:

xo.
