After being away from making layouts for way too long, I finally dug deep into my new supplies from Two Peas in a Bucket and made this layout (:

Project #25: Taste of Pua

Supplies: Bazzill basics cardstock; Mister Huey’s mist; American Craft thickers; Crate Paper Story Teller patterned paper; We R Memory Keepers baker’s twine; Amy Tangerine clear stamps; Dear Lizzy date stamp; Versacolor ink; Studio Calico wood veneers

I thoroughly enjoyed putting this layout together; it reminded me of how much I love making paper things.

And I love everything about this layout – from the repeating stamped background with that yummy mint ink and new Amy Tangerine clear stamps (so much fun!) to the wood veneers (again, love these!), and all the memories wrapped up with all the food we ate in Pua <3

So I actually almost forgot I had this Project going, ha! I can’t believe that I did either.

But okie dokie, drumroll please for Project #24!

Project #24: Pua, Thailand

I’ll confess that I’ve been hoarding this mini album since I bought it, which was like forever ago. But I finally found an event with enough photos to fill up this book! (:

I used a random mix of whatever I had in my supplies – Amy Tangerine’s latest Sketchbook collection, Maya Road, Studio Calico… And I added washi tape, baker’s twine and stamps to tie everything together.

I LOVE this mini-album and how quickly it all came together. Add to that fond reminiscing of our fun trip to Pua. Double bonus!

Project #22: Ade was here

Supplies: Bazzill Basics cardstock; Studio Calico Take Note collection, chipboard shapes; American Craft Amy Tangerine thickers; washi tape; Tattered Angels mustard seed glimmer mist, decadence chalk mist

This layout has all my favorite things: Studio Calico patterned papers, washi tape, glimmer mist, and my little sister <3

I love those Studio Calico chipboard butterflies!

Project #23: 25 Dec

Supplies: Bazzill basics cardstock; Tattered Angels sea kelp glimmer glam; Basic Grey Picadilly collection; Studio Calico wood veneers; American Craft thickers; Maya Road kraft doilies; Kaiser Craft clear stamp journalling spots

I scaled the photos down and used 3x4s instead of 4x6s. Love how it turned out!

I didn’t want to use the typical red and green for this Christmas Day layout, so I just went with green and the neutrals (brown/kraft/with a hint of blue); the Basic Grey Picadilly papers fitted in nicely with this page!

Project #21: Magic

Supplies: Bazzill Basics cardstock; Studio Calico Take Note collection, chip shapes, scraps; Versamagic Sahara Sand chalk ink; American Craft thickers; washi tape

Love these cloud shapes and the washi tape! (:

The Take Note collection was so perfect for this with the “from sunrise to sunset” wording.

And I love it when layouts pretty much fall in place, which this one did (:

Basic Grey Scrap Lift This!

The challenge was to scraplift this layout in any way, shape, or form.

I think the hearts inspired me most on this one, so I pulled out my heart punch and put it to work. I wanted to keep the photo as the focal point so I tried not to over think things and went with whatever came to mind, which I guess was a clean layout (with the exception of a little mist for effect!).

Sketch Wednesday / 21 Mar ’12

I had this layout all ready to go before I left for the diving trip, but I didn’t have time to put it up.

So here we are, one week later (:

I had so much fun with this sketch because I don’t usually work with something like this. And I decided to do a two-in-one for this sketch and used all Picadilly papers to fulfill the criteria of this challenge.

Project #19: Sisters

Supplies: Basic Grey Picadilly collection; Kaisercraft acrylic paint; American Craft thickers; DMC thread

I finally (after like forever) used paint on my layouts again. I used a foam brush and smeared paint for the background. I should do this more.

The flower stickers in this corner are probably pretty random, but I think they’re cute anyway (:

I hand-stitched down the middle of the hearts so they still have some dimension.

It’s time for my take on last week’s Sketch Wednesday!

I didn’t follow this sketch to a tee, but I used it as the starting point for this layout!

Project #18: JUMP

Supplies: Bazzill Basics cardstock; American Crafts Amy Tangerine collection, lovestruck clear stamps; Maya Road mini kraft jotter tags, mini ticket strip transparencies, fresh chipboard brackets; We R Memory Keepers lollipop baker’s twine; Versamagic cloud white chalk ink; Versafine white ink

I used the Amy Tangerine camera stamp to create the background. And I covered the chipboard quotation marks with patterned paper, inspired by this challenge (albeit overdue).

I journalled on the white space of the photo with a permanent marker.

And I love how the baker’s twine adds such a touch of whimsy to this layout.

Basic Sketch Challenge

This sketch was due like, one week ago. And although I didn’t make the deadline, I went ahead and used the sketch anyway (:

Anddd, I used the Basic Grey Picadilly papers I received in the mail in this post!

Project #17: Moments

Supplies: Bazzill Basics cardstock; Basic Grey Picadilly patterned papers, stickers; American Crafts premium ribbon; Maya Road mini ticket strip, transparencies; Tattered Angels bronze, mustard yellow glimmer mist; Versamagic aspen mist chalk ink

I used a landscape 4×6 photo instead of a portrait one, and used the empty space on the photo for my title.

I adore that little birdie from the sticker sheet. So cute!

I cut circles in different sizes and layered them for the background.

What I love so much about collection packs is how everything is already coordinated for you, making it so easy to put the layout together!

I am honestly having so much fun with these (:

Project #16: Be You

Supplies: Bazzill Basics cardstock; American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection thickers, Amy Tangerine thickers; washi tape; tag; Maya Road kraft jotter tag; Versamagic tea leaves chalk ink; Tattered Angels bronze, mustard seed glimmer mist; We R Memory Keepers slate baker’s twine; badge

I flipped the sketch to the right, but pretty much everything else is the same. And I suppose I could’ve added more layers, but I decided to keep it simple instead.

The handwritten quote reads, “Stay true to you and you will end up incredibly happy.”

No misted background this time (save the tag). But I did sprinkle a handful of confetti, yay (:

I am still loving the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan collection. Absolutely darling!

Project #15: Good Times

I know, this week’s Sketch Wednesday layout looks a lot like the last one I just did, doesn’t it? That’s probably because I was thinking about this sketch when I made that last layout. I guess you could say that I was subconsciously inspired (: But good things are worth repeating, yes? (: haha.

The American Crafts rub-ons are from forever ago when I first started scrapping. The rub-ons didn’t come off perfectly but I like the faded-ish look (:

Isn’t that Amy Tangerine stamp so cute?

I love the pop of turquoise on this.

As you can tell, I deviated from the sketch a bit. I put the journaling on the left instead of on the right, excluded the smaller photo at the bottom, and added more butterflies. But of course (:

I’m still loving these sketches.
